“Why Soulwork Matters in a World That Wants You to Forget Who You Are”
“Why Soulwork Matters in a World That Wants You to Forget Who You Are”

With the current state of the world, it’s been hard not to want to withdraw within. The external world can feel unsafe—filled with violence, anger, and uncertainty.
What I’ve learned throughout my life is that the more we can withstand the harshness of the external world, the stronger we become inside. Moving to Thailand has shown me how essential it is to do the internal work—to develop the emotional and spiritual strength needed to face the external world with grace.
We live in a culture obsessed with consumerism, endless options, and constant comparison. Our value is measured by followers, likes, and productivity. It’s safe to say we are all trying to cope in an insane world—one that has normalized disconnection and distraction.
It’s easier to go along to get along than to face how this affects our mind, body, and spirit. But without a strong foundation—one rooted in self-awareness, emotional honesty, and values—it’s easy to get lost. To be manipulated, used, and discarded. I speak from experience.
What I’ve come to understand is that all of these experiences lead us back to self.
From birth, we’re conditioned to be everything but who we truly are. Society’s expectations, family pressures, and cultural norms often shape us more than our own inner truth. But eventually, something inside us whispers—or screams—“This isn’t working.”
That’s when the real work begins.
The return to self.
The Soulwork.
It’s not for the faint of heart. It feels like death—because it is a kind of death.
It’s saying goodbye to identities that once protected us but now limit us.
It’s letting go of beliefs that no longer serve our growth.
It’s releasing who we thought we had to be so we can remember who we really are.
Soulwork is going within and giving ourselves the permission to be.
It’s shutting out the noise of the world and coming home—to our heart, our spirit, and our body.
When we return home to ourselves, healing begins.
Our body releases, our mind quiets, and our soul expands.
This is the real work.
This is Soulwork.
